Has anyone seen this? You can rent a bike right at the track through:
www.racebikerentals.com
-so you don't have to mess around with your own bike! Also, with only a bit over 30 hp at the rear wheel it is all about skill and technique. Looks like a good way for novices to get into the sport on the cheap!

Yes...I've watched them race at WSMC. It was awesome...25-30+ bikes...great racing.

The Ninja 250 class looks like a ton of fun and should be wild going into turn #1 on the Big track out at Willow.

I'd like to get Katie involved in something like this. She wants to learn to race. Heck I'd like to do it. Looks like a lot of fun!

So it isn't too slow a bike for a trackday environment, Ted? I was afraid that it would be hopelessly slow when surrounded by all the 100+ HP bikes. I could see that everything would be fair and even in a race situation but I was afraid that it wouldn't be suitable for a track day bike. When I used to have an Aprilia RS 250 (about 60 HP) I always hoped and prayed that someone on a liter bike wouldn't punt me from behind. These little things only have like 30 rwhp!

It's all about carrying corner speed and throttle control, much like racing the EX-500 (mine only had 60hp).
